Making a different sculpture of Master Qarabaghi

Making a different sculpture of Master Gharabaghi by CNC machining on compressed foam to a height of six meters has been one of the recent projects done in Arshin collection. In this project, the initial model is designed and executed manually by sculpting paste material (Clay) at a height of approximately 30 cm. After 3D scanning of the paste model and preparation of a 3D mesh file in STL format and its analysis, it is possible to perform CNC lathe operations. This sculpture was carved on foam density 15 meters according to the request of the designer and project manager. Due to the formal complexity of the sculpture set, which included the trunk and head. The volume is divided into a number of smaller pieces and is done in the form of 3 and 5 CNC machining axes. volume_upcontent_copyshare

One of the features of CNC lathe in making artistic sculptures is the high quality of the foam model. Dimensional fit, symmetry, no change of details, the possibility of cutting complex volumes in desired dimensions and the possibility of repeating a form in high circulation are the features of volume making by CNC machining method. volume_upcontent_copyshare

In CNC lathe operation, this volume has a total of 30 cubic meters of compressed foam and 340 hours of CNC machining operation.

This sculpture has been covered and trimmed with epoxy and plaster materials after CNC machining and assembly. At this stage, to prevent corrosion of the foam during the fiberglass molding operation, the foam is covered by different materials. After this step, the volume is repaired by fiberglass molding operation and manually molded. In this method, the foam volume is edged by the replica cardboard and made by a total of 18-20 separate mold pieces, which are finally connected to each other by screws, making it possible to create a one-piece mold to produce the final sculpture. volume_upcontent_copyshare

This statue has been installed on Kish Island and on its shoreline after production and painting. volume_upcontent_copyshare

Due to the climate of Kish Island and high humidity and salt, fiberglass sculptures have a longer life than other available volumes, materials and materials, and for better results, resistant resins such as vinyl ester in the first layer and the last layer of fiberglass parts should be used. To have maximum resistance and strength. volume_upcontent_copyshare

Arshin complex is ready for CNC machining of all types of foam volumes as well as design and construction of complete fiberglass sculptures and has the possibility of construction and installation in Iran and other countries with a professional construction and installation team. volume_upcontent_copyshare
